Daysleeper started off as the collaboration between Cera Monsen and Adam Piddington. Adam was touring the country with his band Lanterns. and Cera was writing her soft melodies that would soon be molded into Daysleeper's first EP. Not only did they fall in love with each other's music, they fell in love with each other. The EP's moody setting and sometimes dark lyrics are a testament to the struggles they had while Adam was away. They met Trevor, a drummer in the hardcore band This Flood Covers the Earth, and began to flesh out a group of songs that would eventually define Daysleeper's sound. Later in October of 2007 they added Travis on second guitar, taking their live performance to a higher level.
