Celtic multi-instrumentalist David Lally plays a combination of folk and electronica that he terms folktronica. Born in Co. Galway, Ireland, he formed a rock band with four friends in the early nineties.
Over the next six years, he traveled across America, the UK, mainland Europe, and India.
Lally moved to the U.S .in 1995. Four years later, in Carlsbad, he met fellow Galway man Ned Giblin and formed the band Brehon Law, whose full-length Live at Tom Giblin’s was recorded in 2001. He released his debut full-length Oftenone in 2005.
In 2015, Lally launched a new Celtic pub rock project called Brogue Wave, featuring Matt Hensley (Flogging Molly), Skelpin members Patric Petrie and Tim Foley, and drummer Jordan McKinley.
